Bert Stuij (MSc.) is Manager Energy at the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
At the agency, he is responsible for the implementation of renewable energy, energy efficiency and energy innovation policies. Previously Stuij worked in the private sector for Shell and at various semi-private institutions and government agencies.
One day a week he works for the New Energy Business School at the University of Groningen. His education focus is energy transition and innovation.
On behalf of the Netherlands Bert is member of the Committee on Energy Research and Technology of the International Energy Agency in Paris. He is currently vice-chair of that committee.
Stuij was educated at the Delft University of Technology, where he graduated with a thesis on a fully renewable energy system for the Netherlands.
